The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about our schools to students, staff, parents and community members in order to: 

• Learn about the goals and purposes of Title 1 and Targeted Funds

• Advise on spending related to supporting site goals and improving student achievement

• Provide input on the parent/student compact and parent involvement policies

• Learn about the standards, curriculum, and assessments

• Provide suggestions and ask questions about policies, programs and activities

Dr. Elizabeth McKinstry, AVUHSD Director of Career Technical Education (CTE), who oversees the District's career academies and pathways that prepare students for a wide range of future college and career options was recently awarded two state honors for her support and work with staff, students and the community.
